The amazing thing happen in my wedding job, my client is no longer my client,there all become my good friend. We always keep in touch and chat after their wedding.

This trip i was travel to Ipoh for Wolf & Macy wedding day.we have drink and have some Ipoh nice food during the day i was in Ipoh. The most funny thing i ever happen in this trip, before the bride Macy start doing her make-up, we went out for Ipoh famous breakfast "Tim Sum" before the event begin, she is not nervous at all !!!

This couple really meaning for me, I start knowing them many year ago,saw them start the relationship together until the day there get married. Kellie is very worried she look fat in camera,i keep convince her don't worry about the fat thing, just enjoy your wedding day. Foo Ying & Lee Yin

Stamina is one of the important thing for become a wedding photographer, we need to shoot from early morning, in the afternoon we still need to get ready the wedding slide show for your dinner. So to make sure I have enough stamina to work on it, I have to keep exercise and gym. Is not easy to handle photographer job, Benjamin and his father are doing photography business too. To make a photographer believe in you is even more difficult that make other people believe on you.

So what's the most important thing to become a good photographer, here I will list down what I feel:

1st, Art Sense ( photography consider represent your art work and creativity, you must have your own view and own eye to create every shoot )

2nd, Art Direction ( you must have your own art direction even just capture a wedding )

3rd, Communication ( we can't just go there shoot and leave, you need to communicate with your client very well in every moment )

4th, Technical ( you have to keep practice until you can capture in different kind of environment, you will never know lot of unexpected thing will happen during wedding day )

5th, Sensitive ( you have to be very sensitive with human body language and stay alert what is gonna happen around you )

6th, Investment ( get the most suitable camera gear for your wedding shoot and your laptop as well )

7th, Darkroom ( today photography has no longer using dark room, you need to study using different kind of software to create your finishing )

8th, Health ( once your client engage you for their wedding day, make sure yourself are very healthy on that day)

9th, Passion ( you have to love your job and love your client every moment )

Well,wedding is not just a 1 or 2 day job,to clarify my work,it suppose to be 1 or 2 week job.

If today i just need to shoot and give you the photo directly that will be very easy job for me, but too bad photography is not just like this.

After every wedding shoot i need to filter thousand of shoot and select all the good and trash the bad shoot, adjust all the lighting and start editing every images one by one, it really kill lot of time. Lot people not understand editing work that we spend is more that we capture that day,to make sure my client get all the images with right adjustment, we have to do that for you.

I won't create very strange color or weird color for my client wedding album,no matter how i adjust the color or lighting, i will make sure my client look good and their skin color will be look natural and comfortable.

The schedule for the full day wedding ceremony is really important,you need to plan it well, enough time for make-up (start as earlier as possible), after make-up still got time for portrait and taking photo with others.

One of the most important I have to mention, to all my bride's,please don't handle too much of thing during your wedding day, please pass all the arrangement work for someone you can trust. If you handle too much of thing during your wedding day, you can't really enjoy your day because you spend most of your time working on something else.

I have taken lot of good shoot and i love lot of my shoot but the most strange thing is i never satisfy all my shoot,i always feel i am not good enough.

Maybe be that's the reason to make me keep improve and keep motivate myself.

When i free, I like to browse around Google, check out lot of Malaysia wedding photographer work, photographer like Edwin Tan, Zung the photoz, Adam Ong, Jenny Sun, Jon Low, Daren Chong, Sunny Sun...etc

I dunno one of them but I still feel I am quite new in wedding photography service.

To get myself improve and to keep update myself,i have to do lot research and study.

One of the most important thing for photographer job is you have to do rece when you are free.

You have to do lot of research and travel lot of location study as much as you can. I went to Taiping one of the most beautiful town in Malaysia do some portrait shoot for my ex-colleague.

I hope one day I can come to this town again for shooting for pre-wedding shoot or engagement portrait.

Dear friend,recently i just upgrade my gear again,it help me get better quality image during wedding job.This time i was travel to Ipoh and it's also my 1st wedding job in Ipoh.

I really love my job,it's not just enjoy during work,i found out my work can bring lot of happiness to people.I meet lot different people from different background and i enjoy hang out and chat with them.

Macy she really a funny bride,before her wedding day we still go out for snow beer,wow...how nice can have some beer before work ~

After i reach the wedding reception,wolf was asking what do u think about my wedding dinner?i was like oh gosh,you really give me a big challenge dude !! that location is nice but very low light,i was almost shooting at ISO 1600~ 3200 at f1.4 for only shutter speed 1/15~1/60 for pick up the ambient light,i know if i always on my flash that will kill lot ambient light,so i just give it a try,lucky that time i bring along with my new gear,phew....

check out the food,it was make me feel hungry : (

the main seat really not easy for me to focus and expose,it has a very strong back light from behind their seat...

After the shoot,i have more beer with them,that's really amazing experience,shooting in low light is not a easy job but i feel i make it : )

It is really meaningful to become a Wedding Photographer, playing the 3rd party role, accompanying and watching the lovers' having their memorable day. It really mean a lot to me. Sometimes I felt very touching in the middle of shooting and I am enjoying this feeling.

Every time when I brief the groom and bride, I will always emphasize to them to have enough rest before their wedding day. As they will be very tired during their wedding ceremony if they don't have enough rest before the BIG day.
Let me explain a little...When you start to feel tired, your emotions will be down and your facial expressions will follow how you feel, then... your smile will become very fake. So please, please keep that in mind my dearest newly weds! :)

This is another Malacca trip for me.

I have a lot imagination, I always imagine if I have a girlfriend or wife, what can I do to make her feel happy and romantic.
Sometimes, I would think of how am I gonna celebrate my own Wedding Ceremony, I can feel it and I dream of it, this can help me in my Wedding Photography Life.
Chloe is actually my photography junior, we get to know each other for almost 11 years. It is because of this, she is also one of my client her wedding day, haha...

Alright, this time I travel to her hometown, Dengkil.

This post will means a lot to me. Of course the other posts meant a lot to me too!
It has been 1 year that I am providing Wedding Photography services in town. From the first day that I have very limited equipment until today I have got stable equipments with me. I was a person who never touch / use Adobe Photoshop until today I get to know a little bit more about Adobe Photoshop. I started my business by passing around my DVD portfolio until today I have my own blog, from an unknown blog to having a little fans and supporter.
Thank you everyone for still dropping by my blog, I learn lot from this tough year, my life goes up and down for 2008 and 2009 but I believe my life of "Wedding Photography" had just begun.

This is the 1st time I went to Malacca for a wedding job and it is also proven that I have learned a lot from the past years.

I have something to share, this is my 1st time I am having this mistake!!
To all the brides mate, when you are having fun on playing games with best men, PLEASE try to play it face to face, try not to conduct it between the gate nor window, it will only affect the photographer to capture different angle. And the result is... you will miss a lot of interesting angles and shoots, hope all the upcoming brides mate or "Jie Mei" can help me on this! :)

I heard from some photographer, they said that the tea ceremony is the most boring section during the whole wedding, hmm...but I think they are looking at it in a very wrong perspective.
Tea ceremony is the most important shoot for the groom and bride's parents. I always take it seriously during every tea ceremony section and I felt that it was really fun because a lot candid shoot could happen during the tea ceremony.....

When I first started to work as a Wedding Photographer, I always feel worried and stressed. I am not worry whether my business will grow faster nor bigger in a short period of time, what I was worried is--> "IF" I can't fullfill my client's request.

That's why I never let my client down for each and every wedding job. I work around the clock and I only give my best of Best to my clients. I choose to listen to my client, talk to them, understand them, get to know more of their stories and give them my best opinion.

I remember that special morning, Helen told me that,"I can't wait anymore, I always tell my husband I can't wait for Chiet to help us on taking great pictures!!" She is so excited!!
Woww! I really appreciate their trust on me and my skills, Helen and her husband have full trust, believe and support me.
Thanks again, Helen! It means a lotttt to me... :)

Really "Gao" Hing Dai

I always blame my camera in the past for being damn slow!! I used to see that shot with my eyes but I can't get it! It was really frustrating as things happen in just 1/2 or 1 second and I used to missed it!
.....but today, I have no reason to blame my camera after upgrading my "assets", my cameras work as fast as my eyesssss now hahah!

Album Information

Usually I will make 2 different sizes' photo albums.

which is 8" x 12" inch and 12" x 18" inch, a standard photo album with 20 pages.

Both album are with hard covers and it's covered by leather, we provide several choices of leather. As for color, I would always recommend the brown color or black. Feel free to add a picture frame at the front cover if you like to.

As per attached, it is one of the sample that I have:

As you can see, this is the photo album with hard cover and it is protected by leather.

Each and every pages are finely done.

This is the 8" x 12" photo album, it's handy and light for you to carry around.

When you flip it, it will become a 8" x 24" photo album.

This is another photo album that we have, the 12" x 18".

When you open it, it will become a 12" x 36" photo album. I have my model here, it will be much easier for you guys to have a better idea of the size for all the photo album I have.

Announcement

To all my dear upcoming couple, recently I have just invested a BOMB into my photography equipments. Therefore, for all the upcoming shoots I will definitely provide a better quality images to my clients.

The Innocent

This time, I just travel to Taiping for rece and check out some new location for my pre-wedding customers, meanwhile I have done a set of portrait for my colleagues. We travelled to a few places for the following pictures.

I need to test all my new equipments before they can perform well in the actual wedding photography services.

Fallen Angel

The second set is my latest experiment with my new shooting art direction and also editing work. Any of you heard of Film Director Tim Burton? He is one of my favourite film director, the 1st movie that i notice him is the movie Edward Scissorhands and then Batman, Sleepy Hollow, The Nightmare before Christmas...etc
All of these are my favourite shows...

I am not sure how many of you can accept this type of editing work for your pre-wedding album...Though I like it very much but please don't worry about this, if you can't accept this kind of editing, I will edit it the other way as you like :)

The Rebellious

I always feel that art direction is very important in photography.
No doubt the location, wardrobe, props, make-up and hair-do also play an important role to make your images look good or bad.
People always say:"I love your style, I like the way you take photographs!".
But NO, I don't have specific style, I am free style photographer, I shoot photographs with feelings and connections, I can shoot any kind of feeling and any type of photography work, but the question is.......How good I can shoot it? How perfect can my final art work be? And...the answer is: I came from art school but and never take fine art as a subject but I do Art Direction.

To all my dearest customer, I always put lots of effort and time to do the editing job and Im only requesting for 2~3 weeks time for me to work on it. I shoot in RAW fille and all the files are huge before I convert them into jpeg, so please be a little patient for our final result/final pictures after the shoot.
In this trip Im yet to discover all the locations I like, hope I manage to find another chance to discover more spots and locations in Taiping!
